After the Wind....

Yesterday's weather can be summed up in one word.... miserable.

There was steady wind at about  30 miles per hour and gusts up to fifty....

pots ... trees..... garbage can lids.... all blown about... but....

not  one single branch in the front yard.....  

Oh... and to help the breeze.... a nice steady spritz of rain from about 10:30 a.m. until midnight.....  raw... old.... October day....    behind us...

Today I am still in that shut-in mentality... and dreading the upcoming winter season where it becomes a way of life.  Blah....

#2  is still in Houston for about another week....
No trip back to Bryan to cut grass this weekend.....

Today is the last day of the regular season for major league baseball.   The Orioles swept the Yankees in a double header yesterday and with a win today, the O's can finish at exactly .500  81-81.

I gave some serious thought to going to Cleveland to see them take on the Red Sox.  Unbelievable prices for third row seats behind the plate at $20 apiece..  But there is that shut-in thing going on.....   Blah...

Let's do our best.... to find a positive point of view..... because if the shut-in thing is going to rule October, I can't even imagine how difficult life and living will be come February.
