Late November
Late November 2021.
It has been a relatively quiet Thanksgiving weekend. A doctor's appointment on Wednesday, a trip to Sherwood on Thursday, Friday a sluggish day, Saturday morning breakfast with an old friend visiting from Florida, and now... Sunday. It has been a welcomed time out from the daily grind.
Some wintery weather passed through yesterday. Mostly cold... but late in the afternoon some snow, followed by some freezing rain, and finally just rain. I was just thankful not to have to navigate the weather.
It is noteworthy that Michigan defeated Ohio State in football yesterday 42-27. Given the relentless smack talking by everyone from the Ohio State head coach to my work colleagues, the slice of humble pie could not possibly be more deserved.
Today will be spent preparing for the three week dash to the Christmas break. The goal will be to keep an even keel knowing that there will be continual distractions.
Oh.... one last note.... Aunt Orpha revealed that she has suffered a mild stroke. That is disheartening. It isn't an experience that we needed to have in common.
Sail on November..... December is right around the corner.
