Anticipation

This past week can best described as anticipation.

Either last Thursday or Friday there began some discussion about impending bad weather. The discussion really ramped up Sunday and Monday. Predictions of 15-22 inches of snow with some ice mixed were common. Schools were closing for two and three days at a time. Doom and destruction.

I must admit to feeling a little of the anticipation, but for some reason not quite as much as usual when the weather people are hyping the doom. It has been a very unusual school year weather-wise. Until today (Feb. 2) we had not had a single cancellation, nor delay.  Very unusual for December and January.  So, when the final decision to call off today in anticipation of the winter storm, you would think people would be pretty upbeat..... not really....  they were angry that our district was one of the latter to cancel and even angrier that we did not cancel multiple days like many of the districts around us.

Bottom line?   It will snow.... and the snow will melt....  and life will go on.... and people will always be disappointed with something.

February arrived yesterday.  Right on schedule. Historically, I am not a huge fan of the month, but.... I do like how it leads to March and baseball season.

Keep a smile on..... endure ..... and find a way to be positive today.
