July,.... July.... July....

We are almost smack dab right in the middle of July. July.....  

Some notables on this nice cool July morning.  

1. The Baltimore Orioles have won nine consecutive games for the first time since 1999.  They have also managed to square their overall record to 44-44.  It is nice. Now mind you that the winning streak has come at the expense of sub .500 teams, but none the less the team has been playing well overall and specifically getting some quality pitching. It would have been hardly imaginable a year ago to be a .500 team at the all start break, but there is an exceptional chance at that achievement.  It is a good thing. 

2. We are on the eve of the annual girls weekend away.  Stockport, Ohio is the destination and for some reason, there seems to be an uptick in the level of anxiety from the Elyria branch of this trip. It is an interesting choice of get away destinations, but if there is one thing that I have learned over the years, it isn't necessarily the the destination that holds the value, it is about the rekindling of a long and deep friendship.  That makes it a win/win no matter where they choose to huddle. 

3. The mower in Bryan has been repaired and is to be returned to 114 Robrock sometime this morning. Problems with the drive belt have been repaired and hopefully it will successfully mow the yard back there tonight when sister #2 gets off work. While this photo is not an actual photo of my father's it is one "borrowed" from the internet. Suzanne's brother graciously did the pick up and delivery.  It is worth mentioning that the repair had to be done in Van Wert since the Paulding repair shop no longer services anything but Toro brand mowers.  Not quite certain what is up with that, but fortunately Van Wert was willing.

Such an odd feeling not getting ready for the upcoming school year. So odd.
