October on the Wane

 

October is on the wane. 

The sun sets earlier and earlier. Halloween is arriving about a week from now. The leaves on the trees have definitely made their color march forward.  

I have begun to think I am doomed.  It isn't a pleasant thing. Winter looms and with it darkness and cold. With winter just around the corner, I feel as if I am slipping away faster and faster. This past week has been particularly difficult for some reason.   Today I was told that she will not sit at home. It seems as if there is a fork in the road ahead. I can not win.
